FiveM escrow errors
Fix the most common Cfx.re asset escrow errors.
Our resources are protected with the official Cfx.re asset escrow. The protected files only run on a server whose license key belongs to the Cfx.re account that owns the purchase.
You lack the required entitlement
Your server's sv_licenseKey was created on a different Cfx.re account than the one that owns the script.
- Open the Cfx.re Portal (opens in a new tab) with the account that owns the purchase.
- Create a server key there and put it in your
server.cfgassv_licenseKey. - Restart the server.
Alternatively, transfer the asset to the account your current key belongs to (Portal > Granted Assets).
Failed to verify protected resource
The protected files were changed or damaged.
- Download the resource again from the Portal and replace the whole folder.
- If you upload with FTP, use binary transfer mode - text mode changes the encrypted files.
- Do not edit
.fxapfiles or files that are not listed as open in the script's documentation.
The resource does not start at all
- Check that the folder name was not changed.
- Make sure every requirement is started before the script.
- Look for the first red error in the server console - it usually names the missing resource.
Which files can I edit?
Everything listed in the script's fxmanifest.lua under escrow_ignore stays open: typically config.lua, server_config.lua, locales/, the bridge/ folder and the UI files in html/.
